What is Morrisby Aspirations?

Facing the future and considering study options and a career can be a confusing time for young people. Morrisby is here to help put them on the right track with a platform designed to assist them at every stage throughout their education. We have been providing career services for more than 50 years and are trusted by over 1,500 schools worldwide

Self-discovery

Your son/daughter will shortly be asked to take two questionnaires that will help identify their preferences and attitudes. Subsequent career matches are based on this information.

Career profiles

Having completed the questionnaires, they will be presented with suggested careers that suit their profile. Some could be careers they may not have heard of or considered before. They can also use the career search facility to look at other suggestions and related careers and add them to their favourites list to formulate a plan for the future.

Different routes

Career profiles come complete with a map to show the routes to that career and alternative pathways.

Find jobs

Most major job websites are integrated into the Morrisby system to make it easy to see genuine vacancies.

Help with options

Morrisby Aspirations also helps with subject choices at all major decision points. For younger students, we will make informed suggestions of GCSE (or equivalent) subjects that are suited to their profile. We will also be here to help with their decisions after GCSEs (or equivalent), looking at the alternatives available - be it continuing at school with A-Levels (or similar), attending a local college or considering an apprenticeship. In all cases, the system provides personalised lists of subjects, courses and apprenticeships that match their preferences. Access to live apprenticeship information in your local area is also available.

As they are nearing age 18, if they wish, students can use their account to research suitable courses at universities in both the UK and Europe (using course data from the UCAS and EUNICAS). Suggestions can be filtered by the type of course that interests them, the region they would like to study in, the grades they are predicted and the type of university they are interested in attending.

Action Planning

At every stage of their journey, it can help to have a plan and record the steps needed to achieve it. The action planning tools make it easy to add goals that they want to achieve and where they might want to go to get help. Goals can be selected from any aspect of school or college life.
