Looking for a ready-made plan for delivering careers lessons with Morrisby? This scheme of work sets out a full programme of careers lessons for Years 7 to 13, built around the free lesson plans in Morrisby and mapped to the Gatsby Benchmarks. It’s split into Year 1, for schools that are new to Morrisby or want to embed the lessons further, and Year 2, for schools that have already completed Year 1 and want to continue year on year. Each year group has a suggested sequence of lessons covering key transition points such as options at 13/14, post-16 and post-18 decisions. You can preview the scheme of work at the bottom of this page, or download a copy to adapt for your own school.

How to use this scheme of work
This scheme of work is designed to support the structured delivery of careers education across all key stages. It gives careers leaders, teachers and support staff a clear framework for delivering consistent, meaningful and engaging careers learning that supports student progression and meets national expectations, including the Gatsby Benchmarks and PSHE careers lessons.
Inside, you will find:
- Year 1 lessons: aligned to key transition points (e.g. options at 13/14, post-16 and post-18 decisions). Use these if your school has never used Morrisby before, or if you want to embed the Morrisby lessons further.
- Year 2 lessons: designed to be used year on year after completing Year 1. If you have already started using Morrisby, you may want to go straight to the Year 2 scheme of work.
To use it effectively:
- Start with the yearly overview to understand the learning journey across each year group.
- Find and download the lessons from the Library in Morrisby Manager, currently under the Tracker tab. Each activity includes detailed content, suggested delivery methods and resources, such as lesson plans, handouts and PowerPoint presentations.
The scheme of work is flexible, so you can use it as a full programme or to add to your existing provision. Either way, it will help make sure your careers education is comprehensive, high quality and aligned to student aspirations.
You can also create your own activities in Morrisby, such as evaluation forms, event feedback, work experience diaries and your PSHE lessons.
There are more lessons in the Lesson Library in Morrisby Manager beyond those in this scheme of work. These include a wider range of full-length lessons (around 40–45 minutes) and our Morrisby Futures lessons, which are designed for flexible delivery during tutor time or can be combined into a full 45-minute session.
